About the Author and Illustrator:
Tawnda Kippenhan’s debut book Light in the Dark is her dipping her toes into the creative pool of writing. She started making stories to encourage her daughters writing and it just kept growing. She is currently working on an epic YA fantasy series and a co-authored high fantasy with her young adult daughter.
She lives nestled in the foothills of Eastern Washington with her husband and kids along with their furry companions.
When she isn’t writing or ensconced in a fantasy book, she’s playing an exuberant game of D&D with her kids, or looking for the next sword for her collection. An artist and adventurer at heart, she loves creating things, traveling to epic places and is forever on the lookout for interesting sights, locations, and people from which she draws inspiration.
